Digest #6 — Introducing Personal Domains and Referrals!

Introducing Personal Domains 🎨

Untitled.png

Many people have told us they'd like to use custom domains to turn their read.cv profile into a personal homepage. Well today's the day and we're excited to launch personal domains, a chrome-less version of your profile complete with custom urls, typography, and themes!

Aside from being able to set any domain you own as a custom url we also added custom typography. You can choose between Graphik by Commercial Type, Signifier by Klim Type Foundry, and Diatype Mono by Dinamo. Each of these typefaces have been an absolute pleasure to work with.

Lastly, we designed 6 new themes for personal domains. 'Brutalist', 'Swiss', and 'Klein' are each an homage to design history, while 'Red', 'Green', and 'Blue' offer a more subtle hint of color. We'll keep adding to these and would like to do a full theme editor in the future.

To unlock personal domains we ask that you invite 5 friends to read.cv using our new referral system✨. Once done personal domains will be unlocked and free to use forever. You can grab your referral link on the front page of read.cv.

Personal domains make sharing your profile even more professional and personalized. We can't wait to see how you use them!
