The Mercury People Team is made up of passionate people professionals who know that any good business strategy needs an equally strong people strategy to support it. We are problem solvers, thought partners, cross-functional collaborators, and advocates for our company and our employees.

### **What roles make up a People Team?**

We are a team made up of recruiters, sourcers, coordinators, operations, business partners, compensation analysts, and leaders. We hire and support incredibly talented people, develop and educate, and facilitate the candidate experience.

It's not every day you get to work with a team you enjoy spending time with, and we are very grateful for that. In addition to our (very) active team Slack channel and regular meeting cadence, we take turns planning a monthly virtual team event, celebrate big life events with one another, and travel to get together for big team offsites twice a year.

When we are not enjoying in-person team bonding, We work and live in San Francisco, Austin, Seattle, Burlington, New York, Traverse City, San Diego, Los Angeles, Mobile, and more!

Mercury is building financial products to help startups and small businesses scale. Turns out that this requires a lot of people, so we are hiring a Recruiting Coordinator to support our tech recruiting team!

As a Recruiting Coordinator, you will work closely with our recruiters, founders, hiring managers, and interviewers to support Mercury’s growth. This role is critical to our ability to scale. You’ll work with the team to manage interview logistics, find ways to make the recruiting team more efficient, and constantly seek out ways to create magic moments for candidates.

Here are some things you’ll do on the job:

* Build trust with recruiters, hiring managers, interviewers and founders.

* Schedule interviews for candidates across all teams.

* Make a friendly first impression on candidates and (no pressure) act as the living embodiment of our cultural values.

* Actively think of ways to improve and scale recruiting processes, ideally using data.

* Become an expert in our recruiting systems, tools and processes.

* Document interview processes and facilitate interviewer trainings.

* Provide weekly recruiting reports with important metrics and team updates.

* Assist our Head of People with immigration cases for new hires.

* Work on employer brand projects

You should:

* Have a bachelor’s degree or something you feel is equivalent.

* Have 1+ years of scheduling or coordination experience.

* Be extremely attentive to detail and love creating order.

* Think about how to automate as much of your job as possible.

* Keep track of what you’re working on even when you’re working on a hundred different things.

* Have an almost psychic level of empathy and intuition.

* Have a sense of humor (doesn’t have to be a good one).

* Communicate with clarity, thought, and precision.

* Approach projects with creativity and an emphasis on quality.

* Love working with people and building high-trust partnerships.

Recruiting Coordinator

Mercury is building financial products to help startups and small businesses scale. Turns out this requires a lot of people, so we’re looking to add a Senior Design Recruiter to our team.

As an early member of the recruiting team, you’ll take ownership of the recruiting funnel for a big part of the company and have a lot of impact.

Here are some things you’ll do on the job:

* Develop a deep understanding of Mercury’s values, brand, and product.

* Work closely with managers and interviewers to build high-performing, diverse teams.

* Make a friendly first impression on candidates and (no pressure) act as the living embodiment of our cultural values.

* Run a recruiting pipeline end to end with an emphasis on engaging passive candidates.

* Identify and excite top talent and provide them an exceptional experience throughout the entire recruiting funnel.

* Help hiring managers and interviewers make decisions on candidates.

* Stay closely aligned on company priorities.

* Monitor pipeline performance and share metrics with other team members.

* Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives.

* Experiment with new recruiting channels and analyze their effectiveness.

* Actively think of ways to improve and scale recruiting processes.

* Welcome new hires and act as a super helpful sage on all things Mercury as they onboard.

You should:

* Have recruited for design roles in the past; you know how to spot an amazing portfolio and you specifically enjoy engaging Design talent.

* Have full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in a high growth environment.

* Enjoy seeking out passive talent and have creative sourcing strategies in your tool kit.

* Have an almost psychic level of empathy and intuition, and you care deeply about candidate experience.

* Communicate with clarity, thought, and precision.

* Enjoy learning about and talking to people.

* Constantly be thinking about how to optimize your workflows and increase efficiency.

* Be creative and enjoy tackling challenging problems

Senior Recruiter - Design

Mercury is building financial products to help startups and small businesses scale. Turns out this requires a lot of people, so we’re looking to add a Senior Go-To-Market Recruiter to our team.

Our GTM recruiting function is scaling quickly. We’re looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our team who can work across multiple functions (Marketing, Business Development, Partnerships, Growth, and more) with ease, often times hiring “the first” on any given team.

Here are some things you’ll do on the job:

* Develop a deep understanding of Mercury’s values, brand, and product.

* Work closely with managers and interviewers to build high-performing, diverse teams.

* Make a friendly first impression on candidates and (no pressure) act as the living embodiment of our cultural values.
