Mercury is building financial products to help startups and small businesses scale. Turns out this requires a lot of people, so we’re looking to add a Senior Design Recruiter to our team.

As an early member of the recruiting team, you’ll take ownership of the recruiting funnel for a big part of the company and have a lot of impact.

Here are some things you’ll do on the job:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Mercury’s values, brand, and product.

  • Work closely with managers and interviewers to build high-performing, diverse teams.

  • Make a friendly first impression on candidates and (no pressure) act as the living embodiment of our cultural values.

  • Run a recruiting pipeline end to end with an emphasis on engaging passive candidates.

  • Identify and excite top talent and provide them an exceptional experience throughout the entire recruiting funnel.

  • Help hiring managers and interviewers make decisions on candidates.

  • Stay closely aligned on company priorities.

  • Monitor pipeline performance and share metrics with other team members.

  • Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives.

  • Experiment with new recruiting channels and analyze their effectiveness.

  • Actively think of ways to improve and scale recruiting processes.

  • Welcome new hires and act as a super helpful sage on all things Mercury as they onboard.

You should:

  • Have recruited for design roles in the past; you know how to spot an amazing portfolio and you specifically enjoy engaging Design talent.

  • Have full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in a high growth environment.

  • Enjoy seeking out passive talent and have creative sourcing strategies in your tool kit.

  • Have an almost psychic level of empathy and intuition, and you care deeply about candidate experience.

  • Communicate with clarity, thought, and precision.

  • Enjoy learning about and talking to people.

  • Constantly be thinking about how to optimize your workflows and increase efficiency.

  • Keep track of what you’re working on even when you’re working on a hundred different things.

  • Be creative and enjoy tackling challenging problems
