Haptik was one of the first companies in the world to tackle UX challenges for chatbots. Being a small UX design team of two initially, I setup and was responsible for much of Haptik's UX:

• Bot Design
  Formulated Haptik's conversation design principles and best practices. Created a framework to scale bot design beyond myself. Created quality control systems for the same. Initially I designed all of Haptik's bots. Now its a 9 person function.

• UX/UI Design (Haptik's B2C Phase)
  Dramatically boosted journey completion by introducing quick replies & other UI elements. Created new verticals that would benefit from a chat first environments like quiz, word of the day & more. These broke previous records of user engagement. Designed Haptik's first ever B2B bot for Coca Cola. Later the company pivoted to B2B. I was involved in almost every user facing that Haptik did during its B2C years and then worked on the platform after the B2B pivot.

• UX/UI Design (Haptik's B2B Phase)
  Instigated a rethink in how we measure bot performance. Formulated new metrics for that. Redesigned core features of the tool used to build bots.

• Design Culture
  Conducted company wide talks, dialogued with the CEO, Head of Product and tried to lead by example to in-still a good design culture through the organisation.

Collective Achievements:

• Highest Rated App on the Google Play Store
  The Haptik app was the highest rated with over 10 million downloads on the Google Play store in India. The SDK was also integrated into the Times of India app and Samsung's MyGalaxy app. The final user reach was around 30 million.

• Category Leading Bot Builder Platform
  Haptik's Bot Building platform is featured as a category leader by Gartner, G2, Opus research & more. It's now India's largest bot building platform.

• Jio acquired and invested $100 million into Haptik.ai in 2019.

Note: My last year and a half at Haptik was part time (3 days a week) as I wanted to give time to composing original music.

• Co-designed and oversaw the shipping of Indus' custom Android based operating system to 1.7 million users. This number has now grown to 200 million.
• Designed core apps like Call & Contacts.
• Designed and art directed the signature feature of the OS : ‘Text To Speech in Indic languages’
• As the interim design lead, handled all design operations of the company which included managing the design team, external freelancers and interviewing candidates for new positions.
