For my senior thesis I designed, coded and launched a unique music app on Apple's app store.
Here's how it worked:
Instead of looking at a list of songs and picking one to listen to, the app enabled you to hear short snippets of a sequence of songs and pick the one that best matched your mood.
How does this work?
As a user you'd tap and hold on the screen and the app would play a snippet of a song without showing you the song name or artist. After the snippet of the first song ended, it would automatically move to the snippet of the next song. And then another one. This would keep happening until you lifted your finger off the screen. Essentially the app eliminated the 'thinking' part of choosing what song to play and replaced it 'feeling'.
