Cigona Technologies builds custom software for early-stage startups. As the founding designer, I lead the product design of consumer and business-facing apps for all clients.

Currently designing platforms for the first end-to-end property management platform in Kenya, as well as the first integrated smart water meter system in the country, launching soon in an affluent neighborhood in Nairobi.

Ponea Health is a Dutch-based startup transforming digital healthcare by providing universal, transparent, and convenient medical access for all people. I joined as the founding designer where I achieved the following in 6 months:

• Designed Ponea Health’s flagship product, the Patient App launched in 2022, with 5k+ users.

• Ran ideation, information architecture, visual & interaction design, prototyping, user testing, and developer collaboration activities for the full portfolio of web and mobile products.

• Established and evolved Ponea Health’s UI/UX design direction, ultimately building the first version of its design system. I also organized and ran sessions for fellow designers, developers, and senior management to introduce the design system and demonstrate its advantages.

• Onboarded and managed two new designers in the company.

I co-founded Tengeza Studios to provide affordable web and mobile design services for clients. Over 3 years:

• I designed, prototyped, and branded products for companies in cybersecurity, finance, education, and more.

• I developed a culture of frequent collaboration with developers to ensure better results than a single handoff at the end of the design process.

• I ran the day-to-day operations of the company - marketing, financial, and client communications.
