Beautiful and functional web app for weddings, built with a modern Next.js stack and running on Vercel. Still in active development.

2021

Proof-of-concept mobile app for verifying NZ vaccination certificates. Designed and developed in two days by a two-person team, and released for Android two days ahead of the NZ Ministry of Health's official solution, to localised Reddit acclaim.

A mobile and web app for essential item donations, developed for the Community Koha non-profit startup in a team of three. My role encompassed leadership, stakeholder communication, UI/UX design and full-stack development.

  • Developed, delivered and improved customer-facing and internal projects with a diverse tech stack, from embedded IOT devices and cloud databases through to mobile and web front-ends.

  • Took charge of creating a new visual design language and guidelines for ongoing and future BioLumic projects.

  • Created 40+ high-fidelity design mockups for the new BioLumic Control System, with a focus on usability, aesthetics and accessibility.

  • Facilitated ideation and problem-solving for BioLumic employees through the design and successful running of the inaugural BioLumic Hackathon.

  • Worked cross-functionally with Science and Engineering teams to develop, test and deliver BioLumic light recipes.

Developed and released a novel particle tracking and correlation software solution for R&D and production use in microfluidics-related applications.

The app developed for the Community Koha non-profit startup won 'Best Project 2021' across Massey University's (now-historical) School of Fundamental Sciences.
