Projects
Recently, I had the opportunity to collaborate with one of my best clients, transforming their PSD design files into a customized WordPress website with a special focus on an event calendar.
-
Custom Event Management:
To fulfill the need for a manageable custom events feature that could easily import data through a CSV file, I leveraged the Event Calendar Pro. I then implemented several customizations to emulate the component layout from the PSD design file.
-
Multitranslation Support
In order to make the website multilingual, I opted for WPML. I consistently recommend WPML for multitranslation as, in my opinion, it provides a great user experience for clients, especially those unfamiliar with the WordPress platform.
-
Unique Design Approach
Given the unique and simple design of the PSD file, I made a strategic decision not to rely on a CSS framework. Instead, I crafted a custom CSS framework and utilities exclusively for this project.
I take pride in declaring that the project was a resounding success, and I look forward to maintaining this positive momentum while collaborating with this client on future endeavors.
Recently, I had the pleasure of working on a new project through Upwork. The client’s request was to design and develop a WordPress website using the Elementor page builder. Fortunately, the client provided me with very detailed documentation, including inspiration for layouts, colors, and typography.
To start the project, firstly, I created a mockup of the website in Figma, which the client approved before development. I then started building the website on my subdomain, using it as a staging area to ensure everything was functioning smoothly before migrating it to the client’s site.
In addition to designing and developing the website, I set up an email client to receive contact form submissions and established a cache using a plugin for improved site speed.
Overall, the project was a great success, and I’m proud of the results I achieved for the client.
I recently had the opportunity to work with one of my best clients, converting their XD design files into a custom WordPress website. The project requirements were extensive, including the development of
-
A manageable custom events
-
Automatic registration of audience members into a Google spreadsheet
-
Support for multilingual functionality
-
And a responsive site design.
To meet these requirements, I utilized a number of solutions, including
-
custom page templates for each unique page
-
the ACF Pro plugin for easier content management with custom fields
-
WPML for multilingual support
-
Bootstrap framework for handling responsive design
-
Create custom nav walker for unique megamenu
-
I created custom post types for both events and teams
-
And used Contact Form 7 along with add-ons to allow user submissions to be automatically added to the Google spreadsheet and redirected to a thank-you page
I’m proud to say that the project was a success, and I’m excited to continue working with this client on future endeavors.
