Digital designer, filmmaker, and founder. My key experience comes as a Product Designer with over 10 years of experience across tech, e-com, and lifestyle.

My strength comes as a versatile and proficient digital creative helping startups in their early stages, helping shape everything from their brand voice and imagery, considered product design, to building marketing websites and landing pages.

2023

The first version of our marketplace at Little Places. All designed and built in-house using low-code tooling.

Commissioned to design and build the website for Your Friendly Runners in East London. Website is built on Webflow, utilising their E-commerce and also their Members tool to create subscriptions and dynamically generated running plans.

Series of short videos created to promote Little Places Market, Little Locals focuses on a range of makers based in London of varying sizes, product ranges and skillsets.

TAELS - A giving collective (Concept)

Taels is a giving collective concept that documents and supports grassroots charities. Members would pay £10/month and receive a film documenting the impact of their donation to a new charity each month.

2020 — Now

Started as a passion project during the national lockdown, Little Places has now become a bootstrapped tech company with two key products:

  • Directory: A place to discover independent businesses across the capital
  • Market: An online marketplace for our partners to sell their products to a new audience online.
2017 — 2022
London, UK

2017 - 2020
Came in as the first employee to take care of the end-to-end design of an InsurTech startup focusing on helping migrants in the UK get a better price and experience on their car insurance.

  • Full spectrum of product design
  • Established company-wide documentation and communication preferences
  • Initiated quantitative and qualitative research practices
  • Built and maintained marketing website

2020 - 2022
Led design for multiple product functions whilst maintaining close contact with the brand and marketing departments.
Led design for new product line for final 6 months of tenure from research into development (launch halted by regulatory issues)

2016 — 2017
Owner at Thosewho LTD

A small independent product design studio based in London, working remotely and on-site for various clients including: JustGiving, Dressr & Lawbite.

End-to-end product design & engineering. IA, UX & UI work as well as FE builds.

2014 — 2016

Originally joined JustGiving to help them build their pattern library but quickly moved onto product to lead the UI of the new Campaigns product.

– Partnered with a UX designer to help develop user journeys and detailed interaction design.
– Fully embraced an agile workflow, creating iterative designs and working to short, tight schedules. Also took part in sprint planning.
– My ability with CSS and HTML helped improve and explain the details of interactions to increase the level of quality on output.
