So you want to be a Designer? at University of Pennsylvania

In this collaborative patchwork of a publication, Rachel explores the passions, struggles, experiences, and advice collected from designers across diverse stages of their careers as they reflect on their own journeys and relationship with design.

By weaving together their stories with her personal experience, she attempts to understand what it means to become and be a designer. Inspired by the rich depth and breadth of answers from her comprehensive survey, she assembles their responses thematically so that they are accessible to others who may be searching for meaning.

Combining wit and a distinct illustration style, her creative research-based narrative is full of vulnerability, reflections, encouragement, and inspiration that she hopes will motivate its readers to reflect on their own choices and journeys, as it did her.
