Led by designer and director James Kirkup, An Open Understanding focusses on creating visual identity and digital experiences, collaborating with curated creatives based on the requirements of a scope of work.
Since opening in 2020 we’ve worked on the core brand experience for Kaia Health, helping them raise a $75 million Series C round. Defined the rebrand of FireWithoutSmoke leading to it’s sale for £52 million. Refreshed the brand experience of TWAICE, aiding them to raise $30 million in Series B. Brought an 80% rise in traffic to The Malin with a new digital members experience. Helped KnownOrigin prior to their sale to eBay with a complete rebrand and strategic roadmap and formed the building blocks for a new Picfair brand and web experience.
Alongside larger projects, Open is well known in the industry for working with start-ups and SME’s from across the globe. In the last 18 months we’ve been working closely with Paywatch, David Gandy, ScienceMagicStudios, Raoul Pal’s Expaam platform and more.
