About
I'm a UX Engineer Lead at Shell Energy with 15+ years of experience, specialising in modern technology stacks like AWS and React. I have worked on products for customers in the US, Canada and Australia.
Work Experience
In this role, I developed full stack applications for Shell Energy and their subsidiaries. Designed and developed the frontend (React), backend (AWS CDK) infrastructure and devops pipelines (Azure Devops) for internal and external customer facing applications.
I engineered the Powermetric Design System to enable Powermetric developers to ship features faster. The Powermetric Design System was setup as a monorepo and published internal packages to Github. Packages were built for React components, hooks and utilities. Custom documentation was built to demonstrate live code examples and API documentation.
I led and collaborated with the Shell Energy teams to enable engineers to improve UI, UX and accessibility for their frontend applications. I contributed and improved system logging (masking PII), quality assurance (BDD, TDD), performance testing (Lighthouse) and security compliance across Shell Energy products.
Prior to the Shell Australia acquisition of ERM Power in November 2019, I engineered the ERM Power energy forecasting mobile app (React Native). Using historical energy consumption data, users were notified when critical energy events occurred.
