I joined Hashboard as the 5th employee and sole designer. During my tenure I led both 0-1 product and brand design for a complex BI data visualization tool . My work at Hasboard built the foundation of the application, which has enabled the company to find product market fit.

⚡️ How I made an impact

→ Re-architected the platform, improving usability which enabled the team to meet customer retention goals

→ Shipped 30+ projects big and small ranging from an information management system, drag n' drop dashboard builder, A SQL editor, a tool for building advanced data visualizations, onboarding, project management workflows, and sign up flows.

→ Partnered with CEO to define and launch the brand out of private beta, generating leads and new revenue

→ Established and managed Grain design system to scale engineering impact as well as establish interaction patterns for novel solutions to difficult problems

→ Created and implemented novel hiring practices for screening micro aggressions.

→ Led 0-1 design for Advised 401(k), A new product in the market bringing the ability for RIAs to offer their clients 401(k)s.

→ Led 0-1 design for "Automated Custom Portfolios", a product that continues to drive growth and revenue 3 years later.

→ Launched Betterment’s Product and Design blog, helping to position Betterment as a leader in Fintech

→ Created and implemented inclusive design product initiatives and processes that positioned Betterment as a leader in Fintech

Led design for several projects during the company’s transition to a “Digital First” business model. My efforts on both web and mobile reduced call center costs and increased revenue.

⚡️ How I made an impact
→ Led the design for 'Virtual Hold', a product that reduced call center volume and subsequently company costs by automating a customer callback process

→ Reduced customer support requests through the redesign of a TV remote pairing experience for both desktop and mobile.

→ Implemented a lite authentication flow for customers impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, enabling customers to access their services when call centers were impacted.

I'm currently in the process of creating a coalition of South Central PA and greater Baltimore area climbers.

While I lived in Philly, I ran queer climbing meetups at indoor climbing gyms as well as outdoor climbing locations. I mentored climbers, helping them transitions responsibly and safely to outdoor climbing. I also created a small team to run the organization and help it become self-sustaining.
