## **Revamping the Home Page of a Venture Capital Firm**

In this case study, I will delve into my role as a UI designer in revamping the homepage of a venture capital firm *inspired* by Kaya Founders. The existing homepage of my reference needed a revamp as it was lacking the flair that comes with venture capital firms.

This is only a UI exercise and **not a commission** for Kaya Founders or any other venture capital firms. All assets are free of use from various stock sites and all copy are my own.

### **The Problem**

Fortunately, the reference website has consistent branding and content that I could build off of. However, as a first time visitor, and not necessarily the target market of the website, I was a bit overwhelmed. There was a lot of information that needed better layouts, cleaner UI, and eye-catching designs.

### **The Process**

**Pre-Design**

I took upon myself to redesign this home page within a few days. I started with the actual content of the website.

What kind of information needs to be group together?

What type of content needs a spotlight of its own?

How can I better use the assets to highlight the company’s offerings?

**Design**

I decided to look into various websites, not necessarily within the sphere of venture capitalism. I wanted to look for something that better fits the branding and goal of a venture capital firm in Southeast Asia.

### **Final Output**

Here’s my final output after taking the time to fix the content of the reference website, reviewing their current color palette, and framing the redesign of the entire page.

**Color Palette**

I used more or less the same color palette, and I made sure that the font colors are more legible in both dark and light backgrounds. Currently, the reference website has a light background, while the redesign has both.

Used the same header font and changed the Body and Subtitle fonts to match.

The Bills Payment flow needs to be shortened considering that it is a task the users do at least once a month for each of their customers, or their sukis.
