Work Experience
- Facilitating the promotion and use of Wikistories prototypes in the Wikimedia Indonesia community and selected GLAM institutions in Indonesia (advising, testing, translating).
- Watch designated community channels for news, incidents, and requests around Wikistories prototypes and new user retention.
- Participate in discussions with Indonesian community to provide details and context about Wikistories and the community-based project to run the product in Indonesian Wikipedia.
- Contribute strategies, best practices, lessons learned, and background information that would help the team improve the Wikistories product.
- Support the Wikistories GLAM team in Planning a Professional Development Event for the GLAM institutions in Indonesia.
- Translating Wikipedia module and adapting for Indonesian context.
- Make module more understandable and reachable for Indonesian people.
- Using comics assets to create relatable content for young audiences.
- Helping video team to make unique YouTube/social media ads.
- Checking and sorting articles from participants.
- Help designing and post "Proyek Ganesha" activity on Wikimedia Indonesia social media account.
Projects
Wikistories is a story creation and consumption tool in Wikimedia projects for editors and readers who want to engage with visual and reliable knowledge in a quick way using mobile devices.
Imagine this like Instagram Stories for Wikipedia. Unlike Instagram Stories where you can include everything you want, Wikistories need information from Wikipedia articles and pictures or illustrations from Wikimedia Commons for verifiability reasons.
This tool is now available in the Indonesian language Wikipedia.
Volunteering
- Handling Indonesian Wikipedia media social account (mostly Twitter) to make huge impact on website visit.
- Make people on social media try to editing on Wikipedia.
Speaking
ESEAP Conference 2022 was a regional conference for Wikimedia communities throughout the ESEAP region. ESEAP stands for East, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific.
The conference took place in Sydney, Australia from 18 to 20 November 2022, and was the second regional conference for these Wikimedia communities.
