About
I'm a Software Engineer primarily focused on Frontend Web Development. I love making impactful tools and have lots of relevant experience about using tech for good.
I have experience with Typescript/Javascript, HTML, CSS, several modern frameworks like React, Vue, Next.JS, Tailwind, SASS, and Figma for wire-framing and prototyping. I specialize at quickly learning a project's architecture and then creating great webpages and UI components.
Projects
I am currently redesigning and refactoring major CCC web applications from legacy code to a modern Vue web application.
• Assisted in the development of a B2B SaaS for multiple Fortune 500 companies in the automotive industry.
• Frontend is built with Vue while using Spring REST APIs, Elasticsearch, and AWS DynamoDB to display or manipulate data.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and a design team using Figma for wireframes and prototyping.
• Led and implemented major UI enhancements including responsive design, creating a design system, etc. within months
Side Projects
Made an conceptual exhibit about the Black Panthers in Chicago, with material from the Chicago History Museum. The website is built using React/Next.JS, using Tailwind for styling, and Figma for prototyping and wireframes.
VSCode Extension with ~11k installs.
As a Mulachy Fellow, I was tasked to make a front-end website meant to visualize the History of Computing in a unique way.
We did this by highlighting other historical fields like the history of culture, ancient history, etc. The website was built with Next.JS/React, hosted on Vercel, and designed partially on Figma. I managed a team of two students (in cooperation with the Loyola Software Systems Laboratory) for a majority of the fellowship and reported to a professor.
Awards
The Mulcahy Scholars Program was formed to facilitate close working relationships between Loyola students and faculty. Through the program, students work with faculty members on projects of scholarly significance that reflect the diversity of academic activity throughout the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). The program accepts applications from students in CAS majoring in the hard sciences
Work Experience
I help develop a variety of different web applications used by international companies in the automobile industry primarily through assisting with frontend web development and UI design.
Troubleshooted and resolved technical issues for faculty, staff, and students on Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems by using Ivanti Service Manager, Terminal, Zoom, and collaboration with several different technical teams.
Volunteering
Organized events, was responsible for most communication and co-created the main website for Loyola University Chicago's main Computer Science club on campus
