We are a Series A startup with a distributed team, blending local talent in San Francisco with remote experts from around the world. Vizcom is a product visualization tool where AI driven solutions meet carefully crafted experiences. We care deeply about design. Our CEO has a background in industrial design and nearly half of our team members have design experience too. We are very connected to the user and the problems we solve. We exercise immense caution when choosing what to build and why. AI can be a fast-paced and ever-evolving space, but we understand that not every new discovery will solve a true problem for our user. We look to understand pain points and opportunities first, then find technology that fits.

We’re looking for a User Experience Designer who is eager to have radical ownership over designing our core product features and workflows. We expect a broad set of design skills and the ability to create high-quality designs founded on thorough user research. As a User Experience Designer, you'll join our growing design team (we’re a team of two for now) as we build a culture around design-centric practices that empower our users and answer to our business needs.

Requirements:

  • Min 3 years of professional experience in user experience design

  • Professional portfolio of design that demonstrates creativity, problem-solving, and ability to ship

  • A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines

  • They will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment

  • Excellent visual, UI, and interaction skills

  • Based in North America

Bonus points if you:

  • Have a background in or knowledge of the industrial design process

  • Have an interest in AI tools and exploring new technologies

What you’ll do:

  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We’re scaling our design team and you’re meeting us near the beginning stage. You’ll partake in all aspects of the design process.

  • From design strategy and research, to ideation and production, to handoff and QA, you will work closely with other stakeholder groups to ensure we are shipping meaningful and quality experiences

  • Gather insights from primary and secondary user research to better understand our customers, and translate insights into product recommendations

  • Clearly illustrate design ideas through the creation of mockups and prototypes, both low and high fidelity, and present to internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback

  • Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics and usability findings

  • Partner with engineering teams to build experiences: provide appropriate design specifications, create assets and review finished interfaces

What we offer:

  • Base pay: $100,000/year up to $160,000/year, dependent on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
