Description

CBS Sports is a part of Paramount (NASDAQ: PARA), a leading global media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide. Driven by iconic consumer brands, its portfolio includes CBS, Showtime Networks, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, BET, Paramount+, Pluto TV, and Simon & Schuster, among others.

We’re seeking an experienced product designer and critical thinker to join our growing CBS Sports Design Team. Specifically, this person will play an instrumental role in developing the consumer-facing MaxPreps website and MaxPreps mobile apps. They will be focused on delivering experiences that our high school sports fans are as passionate and invested in as we are.

Product Designers are indeed leaders here at CBS Sports - they get the opportunity to witness the direct impact of their ideas on our consumers and see their product vision brought to life. All alongside working with the amazing content, brands, and media that come with sports.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our cross-functional team to develop and refine features. This includes user flows, screen flows, wireframes, visual designs, sketches, prototyping, and developer specs.

  • Design, create and evolve our growing MaxPreps products.

  • Communicate and present your work, aligning stakeholders and explaining your creative process.

  • Maintain and contribute to a scaling design system.

  • Work closely with the marketing team when needed to support design initiatives.

  • Be autonomous and take full ownership of your work every step of the way.

Basic Qualifications:

  • You have 2+ years of experience working on consumer-facing products. You have a portfolio or PDF to reflect that work.

  • You have experience working in a cross-functional team.

  • Strong understanding of UX best practices.

  • You have a solid visual design sense and clean command over interaction design, typography, and usability.

  • You have experience collaborating, iterating, and testing with Product and Engineering to discover solutions that exceed user expectations.

  • A passion for sports and gaming is always a plus!
