👋 Hey, I'm Evan.
My journey began when I dropped out of college to start a real estate venture. With no money or connections, we bootstrapped and eventually grew to exceed $30M in annual business over 6.5 years. Our team's exceptional performance earned recognition as one of the top real estate teams in the Dallas and Texas markets. That book of business was acquired in 2019 by an associate broker with Compass, a SoftBank-backed real estate startup (IPO $COMP).
After my exit, I consulted with a handful of prop-tech and service-based startups throughout the USA and Canada, helping them grow from early traction to millions in ARR. Many of the companies I consulted with expanded quickly, with their businesses doubling year-over-year on average.
During that time, I developed a thesis about the future of technology: one where tools were beautifully designed and hyper-personalized with AI. I taught myself design and prototyping in Figma, as well as software engineering to start hacking away at these ideas.
That vision led to the creation of Basewell, where I currently serve as co-founder and CEO. We're building adaptive learning tools that use AI to conform to your unique learning and working style, rather than forcing you to work within a rigid system. Our platform has seen remarkable growth, already facilitating tens-of-thousands of interactions each month for companies all around the world.
When I'm not working on Basewell you can find me rock climbing or hiking in the remote Rocky Mountains, or designing/developing projects to help people think, learn, and work better.

A beautiful way to write and share long-form thoughts on Twitter.
Raft was a scheduling tool to draft, share, and analyze Twitter threads. Focused on simplicity, designed in Figma, and written in Swift/SwiftUI.
Work Experience
Consulted with tech and tech-enabled startups in the USA & Canada. Helped grow multiple startups from post-idea → millions in ARR.
Towards the end of this consultancy sprint, I explored the thesis that became Basewell with market research, customer conversations, and MVP product design/development.
(2016 - 2018)
Merged the RUECKERT + STEWART Group with the Compass brand to continue tech-forward expansion.
(2018 - 2019)
Split the RUECKERT + STEWART Group and re-established Stewart Residential (still with Compass). Was awarded as a top Dallas agent with annual business upwards of $30,000,000.
Stewart Residential was later acquired by a Compass associate broker.
(2014 - 2015)
Founded Stewart Residential under broker Ebby Halliday, REALTORS®. Grew to a company-wide top producer.
(2015 - 2016)
Merged with another top agent to build RUECKERT + STEWART, one of the highest-grossing sales teams in the company.
Started in real estate as a buyer's specialist for Dallas residential property.
