Work Experience
Working to create financial data that fuels investment research and a wealth management platform. Startup vibes, and open reign to try and implement all the fancy tech stacks. Having with all direct contribution to product launches.
Incredibly fun time with very smart people. Built internal toolings to help Senior Engineers crush bugs and solve Jira tickets as fast as humanly possible.
Proposed ways to implement Computer Vision into security cameras in subway platforms. I think I saved the demo presentation some where. One of the most fun I ever had building any ML projects.
First taste of Investment Banking. Wrote scripts and created small internal facing apps to quickly do a ton of math and dis/allow traders from taking in more risks.
Worked on making various data visualizations to drive decisions for funding the "College Now" program in CUNY. Pretty proud of this. Allowed many immigrant kids to get a college degree, due to my work.
First step into Customer/User Experience. 3D Modeled a bunch of stores, and generated insights through customer movement through out the store, to indicate changes that would yield higher customer satisfaction and increase revenue.
At a small private equity firm, I served as the sole "IT Guy". The role allowed my extroverted side to shine through in IT support, while my analytical mind thrived on troubleshooting. I exercised my engineering skills by scripting automations, building servers, and installing switches. This job really itched the desire to build PCs and things every so often.
Education
Writing
A paper written during my final year of undergrad. Philosophy of Language - taught by Professor David Neely and Japanese Philosophy by Cory A. Evans. Here I explore how ideas get mangled as we pass them through enough noggin from various cultures (Japanese for this corpus).
