Summary
The MOC Pop-Up Store pilot was launched in Q4 of 2023 on BrickLink. For the designs that were not made into official sets, buyers had another chance to own the set by purchasing the elements and digital building instructions through this pilot.
My role
The art direction for the MOC Pop-Up Store was based off of existing designs from the BrickLink Designer Program (BDP). Deliverables included:
-
Logo
-
New checkout design
-
New transaction design
-
UI pattern library based off of BDP
-
Graphics for social media and marketing emails
-
Prototypes and documentation

Constraints and challenges
The entire project took about 6 months from research to production, so most disciplines progressed in tandem. The time allotted for UI design specifically was less than 1 month. The most challenging aspect of this project was creating an updated checkout/transaction flow, which had a lot of room for error.
Outcomes and learnings
We were able to launch the MOC Pop-Up Store on time with no significant bugs or issues. The overall NPS score for this project was over 76, which is higher than the average eCommerce NPS score of 45.
