**Mr Puppet** was invented at Thinko Animation Studio as a method to hyper accelerate the production process. With our capture system we were able to develop shows at unprecedented speed.

Using a simplified, real time performance capture enabled improvisation which was previously impossible in a traditional animation pipeline.

The system is composed of a hardware glove, and supporting software for the Mac.

Mr. Puppet Animation Glove

I was the Principle Designer and Creative Director of “Hype”, a weird as hell product at Intermedia Labs. The company was founded by Colin Kroll (RIP) & Rus Yusupov who were cofounders of the video social network named Vine. Hype leveraged a heavy duty [animation graphics environment](https://www.forgeandform.co/meek) engineered by the genius mind of [Marcus Eckert](https://www.forgeandform.co/). The team was insanely talented.

The general idea of the product was that you could stream hypermedia widgets over live video, and make bonkers interactive "tv shows" on your phone. It was ahead of its time, and had some really dope people working on it. Instagram ripped a bunch of it off, which was a good sign.

Ultimately it was shut down, but the next product [HQ Trivia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HQ_(video_game)) came hot on its heels with some bigger energy.

I hope something like this gets a chance to enter the universe in another form again.

Hype

Debris was the first product I brought into Jake Lodwick’s incubator, Elepath.

It was a real time chat toy. Media self-destructed after 24 hours. This was before snapchat. It was chaos and a ton of fun. I hope the internet can get back to this spirit one day.

MoonBase was an Interaction Design environment Invented & Engineered by William Cotton & Designed by me at Elepath Inc.

It used a real-time node based signal workflow, powered by an engine called GEAR (Graphics Engine and Runtime).

Moonbase

I cofounded Keezy Inc with Jake Lodwick at software incubator studio Elepath Inc. It was a celebration and exploration of synesthesia, aiming to unlock the inner musician in everyone!

It involved some heavy hitters including Scooter Braun, Reggie Watts, Francis and the Lights, Kanye West, Chance the Rapper and more.

At one point, Apple loved the hell out of us, and featured us in keynotes, window displays and a bunch of other things. Maybe I can find some photos in my archive and stuff them in here later.

Was lucky to wear a lot of hats while building a bunch of cool things, including instrument invention, branding, and directing video commercials.
