Advector, a trailblazing Colombian industrial drone company, entrusted me with the exciting challenge of revitalizing their brand and reimagining their flagship product. This project was a fusion of innovation, precision, and creativity, aimed at reshaping Advector's visual identity and enhancing the user experience of their groundbreaking industrial drone.

Design Dilemmas and Aerial Ambitions

Advector, a Colombian enterprise specializing in industrial drones, offers a wide array of services, including aerial photogrammetry and drone rentals. Despite its solid reputation in the industry, the company faced challenges stemming from its original brand identity, which suffered from issues related to legibility and adaptability in the digital realm. Similarly, their flagship drone, the 'Koleopteros,' while technically proficient for its intended tasks, lacked the visual allure desired by potential customers.

The brand overhaul focused on creating a clean, modern identity that communicates Advector's industrial expertise while establishing a strong presence in the digital landscape. The refined brand elements harmonize function with aesthetics, aligning with Advector's commitment to professionalism and innovation.

Forging Innovation into Identity

The brand transformation aimed to craft a sleek, contemporary identity that effectively conveys Advector's deep industrial knowledge, all the while making a bold impact in their customers and digital realm. The polished brand elements seamlessly blend practicality with aesthetics, perfectly mirroring Advector's unwavering dedication to professionalism and its pioneering spirit in the realm of innovation.

Inspiration in Flight

The technological surveillance undertaken delved into the exploration of functional and visual benchmarks, drawing inspiration from both the aeronautics industry and other sectors closely connected to agro-industry. This meticulous research enabled the identification of key visual elements, material handling, textures, color palettes, and more. These findings served as the foundation for creating tailor-made visual elements, seamlessly integrated into both the brand identity and the 'Koleopteros' drone.

Archetypal Fusion: Crafting Advector's Brand Personality Through Purposeful Identity Alignment

Building the brand involved a comprehensive process, which began by identifying the archetype that best encapsulated the organization's personality. I conducted a personality test, engaging directly with the organization to discern the identity they sought to portray. This step was crucial in defining the essence and character of the brand, aligning it with the values and aspirations of Advector.

By uncovering the archetype that resonated with the organization, we were able to craft a brand that not only embodies Advector's core identity but also connects deeply with its target audience. This strategic approach ensures that the brand portrays a consistent, authentic, and relatable image, reinforcing the company's mission and strengthening its position in the market. The chosen archetype serves as the foundation upon which the brand story, visual elements, and messaging are built, creating a cohesive and impactful brand identity that accurately represents Advector's unique persona.

Insectoid Elegance in Flight

the consideration of the elements within the new brand, along with the examination of references, competitors, and the insectoid concept underlying the 'Koleopteros' drone, paved the way for a diverse range of formal proposals. These proposals were initiated by exploring the volumes and shapes of the object, ensuring a strong foundation before delving into the intricate design details of each element.

The design process involved a meticulous approach, carefully integrating the insectoid concept into the 'Koleopteros' drone while harmonizing it with the broader brand identity. This fusion not only enriched the visual appeal of the drone but also reinforced the brand's innovative edge.

Through this iterative design exploration, we were able to refine and enhance the physical form of the 'Koleopteros,' capturing the essence of an insectoid design while prioritizing functionality, durability, and visual allure. The attention to detail extended to every component, from the exterior shell to the placement of sensors and user interfaces, creating a holistic and captivating user experience.

This project represents a significant milestone in Advector's journey, and I'm thrilled to have been part of this transformation. The collaboration between design and technology has yielded a result that not only showcases the capabilities of Advector's products but also sets a new standard for the industry. This redesign embodies the fusion of creativity and functionality, highlighting the potential of Colombian innovation on a global scale.
