Boatsetter Projects
Below is a collection of some of the many projects I've been a part of during my time at Boatsetter. The projects I've chosen are some that I've either led, built, or managed mostly by myself. Of course, great things are not made alone, so special thanks to my manager, Al Morin, and all other product managers, engineers, and team members who've helped along the way.
Boatsetter's First Design System
Summary
During my first year at Boatsetter, my main focus was to help build Boatsetter's first design system. My responsibilities included conducting a product audit, creating our design tokens, organizing our assets, managing our styles, designing our components, and documenting design system guidelines.
This project is ongoing and in its V2 phase. I'm excited to continue this massive effort with the team and share more as major milestones are complete.

Tools
I built Boatsetter's foundational components within Figma using design tokens (Figma Tokens Studio) where those designs were then coded using React Native and documented within Storybook.
Share Booking Details
Summary
I designed a share booking details feature for Boatsetter to increase share booking rates and new sign-ups from invited passengers. This new feature successfully increased share booking rates by ~10%
.

Checkout Usability Testing
Summary
I conducted usability tests on Boatsetter's current checkout flow in order to gather qualitative data from existing users. The interviews consisted of 14 participants who completed a series of tasks using various devices and operating systems. I organized the data and presented the findings in a presentation format shared company-wide. If you're interested in viewing the presentation, you can do so here.

Special thanks
I included another series of renter interviews conducted by Alicia Barreto, a Product Manager at Boatsetter. Kudos to her for speaking to our renters and sharing her recordings with me to include in this presentation.
Team Workshops
Summary
I've had the pleasure of conducting two workshops during my first year at Boatsetter; one for Figma basics and another for mastering auto-layout in Figma. I like to make my workshops 50% visual examples and 50% interaction, so it was a blast to get the creative team and a handful of engineers to join, learn, and try these features within Figma.
