PROJECT SUMMARY:
Redefined the QuickBooks Payroll experience by transforming it from a basic transactional tool into a meaningful, human-centered experience that resonates with small businesses and their teams.
MY ROLE:
As the lead designer, I developed and executed a strategic vision that inspired the product team and secured leadership support, driving the allocation of essential resources for the project.
PROBLEM:
The QuickBooks Payroll product had become outdated and cumbersome, leading to a subpar user experience that did not meet the evolving needs of small businesses.
SOLUTION:
Crafted a vision to “humanize” the QuickBooks Payroll product, creating a more intuitive and engaging experience. This vision inspired the team to reimagine the product and helped secure leadership buy-in for necessary funding.
IMPACT:
Successfully gained executive approval for 12 new head count on the payroll team to bring the vision to life, enabling the realization of a more user-centric payroll experience.
