Prior to the public launch of Unifier, prominent platforms such as Twitter and Reddit have announced new API plans that pose significant challenges for our continued operation. Regrettably, the only viable option available to us is to transition Unifier into a Mastodon reader, despite its limited demand and contradicting our objective of unifying multiple platforms.

At present, we have no intentions to pursue further development of this platform and have made the decision to open-source our existing work on [GitHub](https://github.com/unifierapp).

Effective June 24, 2023, API functionality, including logging in and using Mastodon, has been disabled.

In response to the dominance of major social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit, several team members have founded [Atlis](https://atlis.gg), an alternative social media platform that operates differently and offers free developer API access as a means to counter their monopolistic influence.
