Projects
In 2024 a small group of designers on Shop set out to overhaul much of the app. We touched nearly every part of the app including a full rearchitecting of the app's structure, new native transitions, and tons of small polish details.
I designed an experience inside of Universe that leveraged LLMs to generate sites in an easier and more conversational way for users.
The Universe editor is built on the primitive of the grid. What was traditionally a tool for creating static layouts has become a simple way of creating websites as well. This project was focused on adding the ability to group multiple grid elements together into a single, re-useable element.
To support Universe's new subscription plan that lets anyone get a custom domain name, I reimagined the onboarding and domain selection experience.
The renovation gallery is the primary way for perspective Block clients to browse through Block's completed renovations. This project focused on completely overhauling the previous gallery experience and resulted in increased time spent in the gallery and decreased time to upload new projects.
