UP-Raahi App is a mess to put it lightly.

The navigation is confusing and you cannot even book bus tickets on it, the one thing it is supposed to do.

I cannot scroll to the **Book Ticket** button no matter what I did essentially leaving me stuck.

Government organisations usually outsource app and website development to IT firms but often these firms skip out on product thinking and user experience explorations.This is what I have tried to improve in my design. The one thing this app is supposed to do easily i.e. bus ticket booking.

The current www.irctc.co.in website sucks to put it mildly. It has a horrible user experience and an outdated design. However it keeps with the millions of bookings that occur at the website seamlessly. The technology doesn't suck. It was built by the brightest engineers that work at the Indian Railways. But, those were engineers. Just how like every  building needs an architect to come up with a place that every person wants to live / work in, the same goes for an app or a website. If there are no UI or UX Designers to improve the experience, you get websites like IRCTC's. Functionally it works but experience wise it does not.
