About

Charis Li is a senior at Colby College majoring in Computational Biology and Science, Technology & Society (STS) with a minor in Philosophy.

As an interdisciplinary thinker and a female in a male-dominated discipline, Charis is looking to radiate love and be of better service to the society by promoting the understanding of the frontier developments in genomic medicine through cross-functional communication.

Charis has built up experiences working in genomic research and precison medicine infrastructure development. At Colby, Charis spearheads multiple community development initiatives - the DEI recruitment board and the O'Hanian-Szostak Civic Engagement.

Her openness to learning from various experiences led her to two other on-campus learning experiences, including the University of Oxford and Bigelow Lab for Ocean Sciences.

She has acquired multiple honors and 20k+$ grants during college, including the Betty Moore Foundation's Grant, Linde-Packman Grant for Scientific Innovation, Dean's List, and Women In Business Accelerator Fellowship.
