Hi, I'm Zaid (pronounced /zɛd/, rhymes with Ted), I'm a Full Stack Developer with a background in software testing and freelance cinematography. I'm a strong collaborator, a fast learner, and an accessibility advocate, and I love creating interactive user experiences.

Developing comprehensive administration tool for mosques. Aims to empower the well-being of mosques
globally, making it easier for them to manage services, enhance community involvement, and keep everyone
Informed. Backend in Go and Frontend in React.
As part of the project, Buy-Rite wanted an upgrade from Magento 1 to Magento 2 framework for both their main store and package builder to address the technical limitations and slow loading speed.
The project also involved a complex data migration process, transferring vast amount of information from M1 to M2 while revamping the previous business logic with the new one.
In addition to the framework upgrade, we undertook a complete redesign of the website, refreshing its look and feel to align with modern design trends.

Awards
The Opportunity Scholars and Guides program supports anyone interested in learning the Ruby programming language. Scholars are typically students, new professionals, and members of underrepresented tech communities. Each Scholar is paired with an experienced Guide who can help them get the most out of the conference, offer insight on Ruby programming, and give advice on working as a developer.

Participated in Houston Turkey Trot Race to hand out medals to runners as they finish the race
Helped sort around 2000 books that will ship and build libraries in countries like Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, and Uganda
Took part in mulching, planting, fall veggie planting, and butterfly and vegetable garden bed clean-up to help nearly 500 students of Whidby Elementary School to study plant and animal life cycles and ecosystems
Helped to sort, prepare, and distribute meal boxes in community neighborhood
