Project background
Daikin was developing a smart home app named “Reiri for Home” for AC and equipment control remotely and efficiently. So for this project, we're mainly working on the UI part. We audited and expanded a few art directions, Finally settled on Reiri for Home’s final design.
Art direction
To make sure the design direction is closer to the brand concept that Daikin is trying to convey. We proposed four directions for visual design. In the end, we decided to use neumorphism (which is the newest UI style these years) style to apply UI.
Icons
Since reiri has many functions and needs to adapt to the multi-language environment, Icons have become the main way to express functions. Therefore, we redesigned a set of more than 100+ Icons with the same style to better help users understand the features of the product.
UI Components
Reiri has many functions, so it involves different functions and displays of different states, and we built a library of components to efficiently complete the design.
Adaptation
Also, This project includes tablet adaptation. With the mobile app complete, we used the same components, and adjusted the layout and some interaction to adapt to the larger screen.
