About
I love working in the realm between design and code. Some things that make me excited are CSS, Interaction design, Javascript, and making interfaces feel fun and human.
Before I left for the world of design and development, I did my master's degree in business informatics at the University of Mannheim
In parallel, I also built up the Innovation Lab of SV Informatik and managed it for several years. Here we worked with a small team on new technology trends in the insurtech industry and developed a variety of digital products.
Afterward, I focused on designing and developing interfaces and have been supporting great companies and projects for some time as a freelancer.
Currently, I'm designing the new home of entertainment as a Senior Product Designer at RTL+.
Besides working on products, I teach the next generation of designers in the form of online UX / UI bootcamps together with Memorisely. We also create bitesized design knowledge in the form of short videos.
Outside of work I’m obsessed with endurance sports and spending time outside with my family and friends.

Projects
As a freelancer, I have the pleasure to design the podcast, audiobooks, and music experiences for the streaming apps of one of the biggest entertainment companies in Germany
For the design and development teams of the sports coach app enduco, I jumped in as a freelancer and we revamped their complete UI library. Together, we've redesigned a lot of components and created more consistent and well functioning interfaces
In early 2022 I had the pleasure to launch a new service, together with the team from Hello Design. With our tailormade UX analysis, we help companies find design flaws in their products and easily fix them
As a freelance product designer, I created the first concept, pushed pixels, and launched initially in the iOS app store. After a while I also jumped in and implemented complex UIs in code, like payment and subscriptions.
One of my first bigger freelancing projects was as a product designer for the vintage clothing e-commerce startup Peeces. Together we've created a bunch of new improvements in the online shop and tested several ideas through A/B tests.
As a freelancer, I helped create the first version of Notch's design system. We've created foundational UI styles and a vast and extensible component library. Additionally, I helped out in developing the components in code, which was a lot of fun!
Side Projects
Relaunching my site completely from the ground up and sharing the progress with the garage door open.
