Xiangyi Li, a 1st year MS student in Computer Science at San Jose State University, interned at Dolby Laboratories as a Windows Platform Entertainment Development Engineer in 2023. He developed frontend and backend features for an enterprise-grade Dolby Vision support portal. He quickly adapted to the .NET framework, completed previous backlogs ahead of schedule, and implemented new features that significantly increased customer happiness. He was able to independently come up with new features and managing JIRA issues in the absence of the product manager and project manager, as a result of actively collaborating with cross-functional teams.

As the founding engineer at Imaginix in January 2024, Xiangyi Li architected the tech stack for the Kimi AI anime voice chatting app. He crafted project-specific interview questions, made key tech decisions, and shipped the app in three weeks. He contributed 90% of the codebase. He implemented server-side optimizations that reduced latency and designed a scalable, globally fast animation stream service with minimal bandwidth usage.
