Angelsamong.us was a p2p donation platform that made it possible for people not financially threatened by the COVID-19 crisis to donate funds to Nigeria's semi- and informal economy.

The way it worked: volunteers fielded requests for help from locals and verified their identities and need, and added them to a database. Donors clicked a button that generated ten random names of people in need, and at the click of a button, they instantly spread their contribution to all ten people.

It was powered by Flutterwave's API and a proprietary backend.

Side Projects

A small intro to NFT creation. Deployed on the Ethereum testnet, it mints a cute kat and was the second half of an exploratory piece I wrote titled "An African Skeptic's Guide to NFTs".

The justification for the testnet deploy was so it would be accessible to anyone without having to worry about gas fees.

In hindsight, this is a bit too cheesy, but it marks my transition from media to tech, so it's a crucial part of my history.
