About

Hi there! I'm a freelance illustrator and visual designer from Mexico living in Budapest. I have worked with different design agencies and clients worldwide, learning to have fun with my work and love the process.

I love to have hobbies outside the computer to boost my creativity and give me peace in all aspects of my life. Baking, doodling with markers, and watching my plants grow are my favorite ones.

If you have a project or want to collab feel free to mail me at hello@valkuks.com

Side Projects

2022

I bought a scanner, and I've been collecting stamps for reference (I love those tiny canvases), so I opened this Instagram account to upload them. 💌

Some context: Philately is the name of the study of postage stamps, stamped envelopes, postmarks, postcards, and other materials relating to postal delivery. After stamps, the recipient of a letter—not the sender—had to pay the postage; the postage stamp permitted the letter to come free of charge to the recipient, rendering it untaxed. And this is amazing, the word Philately, thanks to the Frenchman George Herpin (1864), came from the greek Philos, "love," and Ateleia, "that which is tax-free."

So, if you love tax-free or awesome graphics on a tiny canvas, you are always welcome to follow this project. 🤲
