Work Experience

2010 — Now
Visual Designer at Freelance
Montréal, Canada

Over a decade of work with clients from large to small and on projects similarly varied, transitioning from print to screen to research and everything in between. This time allowed me to not only push my passion for continuous learning and personal development but also understand the ins and outs of running a successful business, encouraging creative problem solving, critical thinking, and project & time management skills working directly with clients, shareholders and other teams involved in the process.

2021 — 2022
Senior Product Designer at Creatively Content
Montréal, Canada

Effectively communicating within a small team of creatives to successfully research, strategize and execute multiple projects in line with each client's annual marketing goals & showcasing work with shareholders. Through focused communication and deliberate collaboration with other departments, we were able to ideate, build and implement digital products for the target market. We innovated through a research & reiterative process to solve user-centred problems and create wireframes, prototypes, mock-ups, and responsive web design.

2016 — 2019
Product Designer at Digital Engagement
Lincoln, UK

Working alongside Creative Director & engineering teams my technical abilities were used to prototype experiences through interactivity and motion design within mobile, tablet, and desktop apps, responsive websites, and interactive installations. A background in Fine Art allowed me to efficiently empathize early on in the process with the user and conduct research tasks, conceptualize their problems, and translate research-based evidence into implementation.

2014 — 2016
Senior Designer at The Number4 Group
Lincoln, UK

Design lead, working within a small marketing team to produce all in-house documents for a national recruitment and training company. Responsive web design, email marketing, sign-up forms, social media templates, course materials, and interactive e-learning programs. User research was conducted early on to provide insights into the designed programs' usability where changes could be made and implemented.

2016 — 2016
Visual Designer at Little Riot Press
Lincoln, UK

Production of artist publications for print & web, performance materials, responsive web design, and digital assets for social media in collaboration with the University of Lincoln.

2012 — 2013
Junior UI/UX Designer at Fuse Design
Nottingham, UK

Taking direction from Creative and Design Directors assisting with research tasks, building personas, creating wireframes, sketching ideas & concepts for branding, and creating viable mock-ups. Involvement in strategy meetings and client calls allowed me to understand and recognize the important thought approaches and problem-solving skills needed in design.
