Projects
Designed our first native desktop app for macOS and Windows. As part of this overall effort, I led a refresh to declutter and streamline Whimsical's app chrome.
Created ways for users to utilize GPT to brainstorm and visualize information. In Whimsical, users can create mindmaps, flowcharts, sequence diagrams, and sticky notes based on a prompt. We were also in the first cohort of ChatGPT plugins, which helped users discover and use Whimsical without an account.
Created elements that let users construct sequence diagrams efficiently and elegantly.
Created content blocks, such as tables and callouts, that help users express their ideas more precisely and beautifully.
Created integrations and marketplace assets for Slack, Jira, Google Docs, and other third party tools. Designed our OAuth connection flows and integration management screens.
Created and helped maintain our Figma-based design system.
I designed various experiments and improvements to Zapier's core editor experience. This included: onboarding guidance, improved search, draft/publish, and version control.
I advocated for, planned, and ran multiple installments of UX benchmark testing. Benchmark tests are usability tests, run on a regular schedule, that keep a pulse on the the macro user experience.
I designed a feature for infrastructure engineers to estimate the cost of server, database, and other cloud resources before they provision them. Sentinel security policies could be written against the costs to provide peace-of-mind to individuals and teams.
As Terraform Enterprise transitioned to a cloud offering, I designed user-facing management features like plan selection, user management, teams, and role-based permissions.
I researched and designed an improved experience for tracking and troubleshooting email deliverability.
I conducted multiple diary studies and moderated usability tests to inform product strategy for SendGrid's core developer experience.
I conducted usability tests, identified key abandonment points, and redesigned the onboarding experience to improve conversion and retention.
I redesigned SendGrid's documentation site to serve differing, yet overlapping needs of marketers and developers. With engineering time at a premium, I built out the front-end in HTML, CSS, and JS.
I redesigned a critical, complicated experience that lets email senders prove their identity. This is a fundamental step that developers and marketers must do to ensure email is delivered to the inbox, not the spam folder.
Side Projects
