I'm a world-class, highly decorated designer from the American South. I've had the pleasure of creating digital products for some interesting people and companies.
Work Experience
During my time at Shopify, I played a key role in the growth and expansion of the loyalty program within the Shop app. My primary focus was to enhance the user experience by implementing new ways for users to make the most of their Shop Cash. Collaborating with my team, we worked together to design and introduce features that aimed to clarify and improve user understanding of the program.
Following this, I moved on to the business banking team at Shopify, where I took on the task of refining and improving their banking app Shopify Balance. With the ultimate goal of achieving product-market fit, I led the charge to redesign the app using Shopify's latest design system. The updated app launched in time for Shopify Editions Summer '23, Shopify's highly anticipated semi-annual showcase of innovations.
At Square I lead the loyalty and gift card features for businesses and their customers. To enhance the loyalty program, I integrated it with other Square services, expanded it to new markets, and developed new customer engagement strategies based on users' feedback.
During my time at Starbucks, I worked on the mobile applications for iOS and Android. Our team built, organized, and distributed a modular user interface that could be used worldwide. I delivered features like Starbucks offers, which have generated a significant amount of revenue for the business. Toward the end of my tenure, my sole responsibility was to design products for Asia Pacific.
I also participated in Starbucks’ Black Partner Network employee resource group. For two years, I assisted in the development of internal programming and company-wide efforts to support black employees throughout the year.
