Bachelor of Design student Soyinka Seguin’s capstone project will help the City of Edmonton when making vehicle-for-hire policies for Edmontonians' accessibility needs.
Work Experience
· Developed ten design options to maximize the study’s brand identity toward user engagement and recruitment.
· Developed and tested surveys on a health data platform to be distributed throughout the province with over 200 participants.
· Using UX research methodologies (e.g., affinity mapping), developed 30 UX-focused recommendations to enhance app development and streamline children’s familiarity with health resources.
· Developed multifaceted program and policy solutions in municipal service design and digital experience, focused on increasing uptake of vehicle-for-hire (VFH) services and promoting accessible services.
· Identified gaps, pain points and opportunities in the Vehicle for Hire Sector, leveraging UX research methodologies (e.g., interviews) with over ten users.
· Organized and facilitated workshops to foster relationship-building with the city and members of the accessibility community.
· Analyzed website and led re-design of over ten improvement areas for the company to maximize user reach. Provided 20 user-focused strategic solutions to improve website usability for over 100 small-scale artisan farmers and producers.
· Spearheaded company efforts to reach 1,000+ businesses nationwide by collaborating with the marketing team to reach new audiences.
· Co-designed student portal interface layout to be launched to over 18000 students and employees.
· Collaborated with the community partner organization on a website re-design for 200 active student users seeking help with health matters.
· Trained four staff in marketing department at the community partner organization on efficiently managing content management systems for the website.
