Vori is on a mission to revolutionize the future of grocery. A rapidly growing vertical SaaS/Fintech startup for neighborhood supermarkets, Vori is looking to hire an exceptional product designer on a growing design team to build elegant, intuitive experiences within a complex grocery industry. As the operating system that empowers small grocery businesses, Vori integrates a cutting-edge Point of Sale (POS) and inventory management system to help these local businesses thrive.

**About this Role**

**This can be an immediate contract-to-hire role or full-time opportunity**.

As the part of the growing design team, you’ll have the opportunity to have high impact on our design and product strategy as we scale our hardware and software system into neighborhood grocery stores across the country.

Our grocery customers are often immigrant-owned, generational family businesses that we are passionate about giving them tools to succeed in a competitive market that includes large players (e.g. Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s). We love food and being a part our customers’ journey as they nourish our local communities.

We’re looking for a seasoned designer who is excited to roll up their sleeves and work across a wide product surface area, drive research in the field, ultimately ship designs and iterate in our stores. Your ability to prioritize, lead, and execute quickly at the right design fidelity for our level of product maturity will deliver high impact across the entire organization.

**We’re excited about you because:**

* You have 7+ years designing applications across a variety of enterprise industries and complex cross-platform experiences (mobile, web, etc)

* Experience leading UX research initiatives within your product teams

* Can lead with independence and yet work collaboratively across departments

* Can quickly design at multiple fidelities, from scrappy, napkin-sketch whiteboards to production-ready work without sweating the details

* Have worked in a startup environment or have built 0-1 products

* Build and support both B2B SaaS and B2C experiences for our grocery store owners and their loyal neighborhood shoppers

* Contribute to the strategy and product direction of Vori

* Establish strong partnership with Product and Engineering that instills a strong sense of joint ownership and effective collaboration

* Work on a mixture of 0-1 and growth initiatives to help us achieve rapid growth

* Design across a large product surface area that includes web-based inventory systems, shopper-facing point of sale hardware, and mobile-first handheld tools for operators on the grocery floor

* Bring user research to the forefront with your teams and effectively communicate insights for strategic leverage by our founders

* Foster a strong design culture with design leadership and the executive team around best practices, lead by example on craft for our current stage of growth, and continually evolve our design system

**Nice to haves we keep an eye out for**

Experience working with or interest in physical hardware and design

Previous experience designing for retail, supply chain, or logistics-related industries
