We are digital product designers, developers, open and compassionate thinkers, and creative people.
We're making the world a better place by striving for change and putting people at the center of everything we do. Honest and open communication, specific feedback, and curious research ensure that we constantly learn and develop useful and simple products.
What is your team mission?
We aim to build products that improve everyday life with a core focus on education, fashion, and productivity. Yet, we're open to anything. What matters is that the projects we work on serve a purpose.
The world runs on bad software and design. We jump in when we see opportunities for change and an easier life for influenced audiences.
How does your team stay connected when working remotely?
We came together as friends to create something meaningful.
This enables us to maintain a strong bond formed by matching passion and curiosity while working fully remote – spread across Germany. We know we can rely on each other, even if we don't talk daily.
We also don't have a lot of meetings because a 1-hour meeting with five people isn't a 1-hour meeting – it's a 5-hour meeting. Instead, we try to use our resources effectively and communicate with purpose and intention.
Sometimes, though, we get to spend a few days together to work collectively and sit down at one table. It's always super refreshing to meet in person and create memories together, apart from work.
How does your team maintain a high bar for quality?
Dedication and structure.
Everyone on the team mainly works for themselves, sometimes in a 1:1 session for exploration and reviews. We found this to be very effective because we can split many tasks, review them and then decide which to put more effort into moving further.
We know that great products speak for themselves and their usability decides on all areas of the outcome – joy, recurrence, comfort, profit, and whatnot. This motivates us to put effort into even the smallest details.
What design tools do you use day to day?
We try to limit sources of distraction and increase productivity by removing everything that's not essential. Since we primarily work remotely, async communication works best for us. Of course, everyone is free to use the tools they vibe with most, but these are the ones that stood out, and almost everyone uses.
Our team recently switched from Sketch to Figma for design to collaborate and manage libraries, create prototypes, and comprehensive design. To manage tasks, projects, and timelines, we rely on Linear as the most convenient platform for our use. It might be a bit astonishing, but we stick to iMessage and E-Mail for most personal interactions. Lastly, as a calendar, event, and meeting scheduling, Amie is our favorite.
