Join us in building an integrated web for discovering, creating, and sharing ideas.
Sane is a social tool for creating and sharing ideas on a spatial canvas. It's a social playground for your thoughts, a place to build digital gardens and create meaningful connections. We're building a synthesis of what we think the internet should feel like: a place for curiosity and self-expression.
Our vision is to build a company that works with intention, diligence, and care to solve one of the most pertinent challenges facing society. We see technology as a means to an end: facilitating the cross-pollination of ideas and finding better ways of relating with each other. We value people who are absolute masters in their craft, but also willing to jump into new things & learn fast.
We're based in NYC — our team is partly remote but looking to build in person down the line. We can help with relocation within the US.
We're backed by some of the best consumer tech investors in the industry including Long Journey Ventures, Betaworks, Moth Fund, and Human Ventures.
We are looking for a senior fullstack engineer who is truly curious about building better ways to think, share ideas, and self-express on the internet. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded generalist, but it's a big plus if your profile leans towards one of the following:

Collaborative Applications: Your expertise lies in building live, collaborative applications. You’re versed in synchronisation, serialisation, and operational transformation.
Backend Data Engineering: You excel in building and deploying models for data science, and you have a solid grasp of fullstack development.
Are you the right person?

You have an eye for design (no formal skills necessary)
