About Us:
Rilla is one of the fastest growing startups. We’re a series A company (led by Bessemer Venture) and have 10x’ed our revenue from 2023.
-
Rilla is the leading conversation intelligence software bringing AI to outside sales. Think home services salespeople who talk to customers face to face.
-
We’re the category leader in the space. We help sales teams coach reps through recording, transcribing, and analyzing their conversations. Ask us about how we’re innovating and our long term vision!
-
We’re a team of 50. From the product team, you'll be joining 1 designer (Kunal, previously engineer) and Teresa (previously Head of Design at Superhuman). We don’t have PM’s because we empower design and engineering to be the point decision-makers of our customer needs alongside our CEO.
Role Summary:
-
you'll be designing our product across platforms (desktop, iPhone, iPad, and Android)
-
you'll be talking directly to our customers in discovering their problems, pain points, and validating your assumptions. This happens in the form of text, phone calls, in-person visits where we fly you to their offices to observe their day-to-day and their workflow, and customer onboardings via video calls
-
you'll be working with our team of engineers and shape our design and implementation processes, often times being super scrappy and pairing to come up with solutions (and in code!)
-
you'll be exploring many new and ambiguous problem spaces that Rilla is looking to expand into. These are greenfield initiatives where you'll be involved from the beginning to uncover the problems and use cases with our customers as we begin to understand what we should be building for
Culture:
-
We’re customer-obsessed. One of many examples: we don’t have a typical customer support team because we want our engineers, the team building our product, to understand our customers’ pain points directly. Note: this role will not involve explicit customer support responsibilities.
-
We work hard. We’re 6 days/week in person. This looks like 10+ hrs/day Monday to Friday, and meetings starting in the afternoon on Sunday. We want to be transparent about our work life because of what it enables us to do: have extreme ownership and autonomy in building the product, at a pace of learning and shipping that is unmatched. Come meet us to experience our infectious energy!
-
We operate in a high trust environment and want you to do the best work of your life. That means, we show our care for you through: unlimited PTO, all meals compensated, gym membership, learning budget, paid parental leave, childcare, extremely competitive compensation (90th percentile of market) and equity.
You’ll be an awesome fit if you:
-
Have immense drive and passion towards the work you do.
-
Bring a customer-first mindset and an interest in talking with customers to always make sure what we’re building meets their needs.
-
Care about the craft and quality of an experience, from high attention of detail in design and interaction to making it easy, and delightful, for people to learn and use.
-
Want to be part of an early-stage environment! Excited by the idea of being one of the first designers at a high-growth startup and building out a strong product and design culture.
-
Can move fast. Hungry to learn. Open to feedback. A team player.
-
Thrive in a high-growth environment. Adaptable. Always curious.
Noticed how we’re not indicating experience level? At Rilla, we care so much more about your excitement towards doing great work and developing deep empathy for customers than your actual number of years of experience.
The total compensation for this role includes an estimated base salary for this role is $110,000 - $230,000, competitive equity, and a plethora of benefits.
