About the role
Relume is seeking a highly motivated Product Designer to join our growing team. We're a small team of seven, dedicated to helping thousands of designers navigate the world of No-Code and Generative AI.
As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in helping us achieve our mission of helping designers win. You will work closely with our engineering and design team to create intuitive designs for the Relume Library platform as well our other suite of products.
We are ideally looking for someone who has a good understanding of building design systems, as well as the design tools used for building websites and products. Our primary customers are agencies and freelancers who use Webflow and Figma. Our goal is to empower them to save time when designing and building websites by using a design system (component library) that incorporates various features driven by LLMs (AI).
We are a small, bootstrapped, and growing startup. This means that there are many perks that most other roles cannot offer, including:
-
Extreme ownership: you will have a lot of autonomy and will be able to make many design decisions
-
High impact: everything you make will ship to thousands of users
-
Broader responsibilities and roles: you can wear many hats - product marketing, strategy and product growth. As we’re small someone who is more of generalist will thrive in this role. It's not required, but ideal for smaller startups.
-
Opportunity to grow the role: as the company grows you will be well-positioned to take on new and exciting roles as they become available
What you’ll do
-
Collaborate with team and the Relume community to understand project requirements, user needs, and business goals.
-
Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights and inform design decisions.
-
Create user personas, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas and interaction concepts.
-
Develop visually appealing and intuitive interface designs that adhere to best practices and align with brand guidelines.
-
Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing, ensuring continuous improvement.
-
Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and provide support during the development process.
What we’re looking for
-
Excellent visual design skills with an eye for aesthetics, typography, and attention to detail.
-
Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to think critically to address complex design challenges.
-
Minimum of three years experience as a Product Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and end-to-end product designs.
-
Self-awareness, a growth mindset, proactivity, and drive.
-
Proficiency in Figma.
-
Experience in Webflow is a plus, but not a requirement.
Currently we work 2 days a week in Sydney city, 3 days WFH.
If you are passionate about designing intuitive software and are ready to join a dynamic startup, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Please include a resume, an up to date portfolio, and any requirements you may have (for example a visa) in your application. We can't wait to meet you!
