We're a seed-stage startup funded by top VCs like a16z (Andreessen Horowitz) and First Round Capital, and we're looking to hire our first product designer!

We're a small-but-mighty multidisciplinary team of clinicians, technical folks (i.e., engineers and PMs), and business/ operations people aiming to tackle some of the disparities that exist in maternity care in the US today.

We're a remote-first company, and our employees are all over the US with particular concentrations in NYC and the Bay Area.

We have a weekly company-wide meeting in which we share stories of impacts we have had on real patients. There are too many to list, here are some personal favorites from the team:

• Coached a woman who really wanted to deliver vaginally but had previously only delivered by Caesarean through her vaginal birth process successfully

• Prescribed a much-needed medication in the middle of the night for someone who was experiencing severe nausea which had gone unaddressed by their in-person OB provider

• Used trauma-informed care to help someone who previously had a traumatic birth experience plan a safer next pregnancy experience

• Sent a car service for someone who wasn't able to get to an important ultrasound appointment due to unexpected transportation issues

• Helped someone with substance abuse issues develop a birth plan and, using a harm-reduction approach, a process to move from short-acting to long-acting opioids

• Consulted with a first-time mother who was stressed in the middle of the night through lactation and latching questions, leading to her successfully being able to breastfeed

We have periodic company-wide on-sites, and a variety of opt-in virtual social activities. Each team within the company has weekly meetings and specific traditions. As an example, the technical team has an optional drop-in 'social standup' for people to be able to chat or work casually over Zoom together.
