Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who will work closely with product engineering on FieldDay, WorkLens, and our internal tooling, making ‘AI, shaped by people’ mainstream.

Your work at Playground

  • Build, test and deploy scalable back-end services supporting our web and mobile clients.

  • Collaborate and communicate clearly with team members on scaling challenges and architecting new features.

  • Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing.

  • Help shape and grow the engineering culture.

Things you will work on

  • FieldDay, a set of interfaces and APIs that can become part of any AI product's pipeline enabling its users to shape, improve and personalise its algorithms.

  • WorkLens, an in an intelligent photo+video platform for work. Capture, annotate, search, collaborate, and automate visual information. Built on top of FieldDay tooling, making anyone more productive with their camera and unlocking enterprise use-cases from quick workflow automations in e-commerce and logistics to automated visual inspection for industry.

  • Support our customers like Canopy (Ford+ADT) and Rafael Nadal make the most out of FieldDay and WorkLens

Requirements

  • You have 2+ years of experience with Node.js.

  • You have experience writing and optimising relational databases (Postgres, MySQL etc).

  • You have experience maintaining cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure etc).

  • You are familiar or have experience with TypeScript.

  • You are familiar or have experience building GraphQL backends.

  • You enjoy the early stages of product building, and are comfortable in a fluid and fast-paced environment.

  • You are comfortable building prototypes and demos quickly to help our design and product team evaluate possible features.
