Playground is looking for a Product Engineer that will work closely with our product design team to bring shapeable, intelligent products to market.

Prototype, build and test our apps.

Work with a flexible modern tech stack (React, TypeScript, Next.js, Tailwind).

Collaborate and communicate clearly with team members on scaling challenges and architecting new features.

WorkLens - an intelligent photo app for work. Capture, find, and collaborate through the photos you take at work, building a visual knowledge-base.

FieldDay - a machine learning data collection platform and API that enables engineering teams to build truly shapeable products at scale with the help of users.

Projects that identify and solve problems through machine learning and computer vision across a variety of industries with clients as well as products we develop internally.

A range of digital platforms such as mobile, web and physical/connected devices.

Work across all parts of the design process from qualitative/quantitative user research, through concept development, prototyping, interaction design, collaboration with development teams, and design stewardship across platforms.
Requirements

You have experience building data-rich web apps.

You care about high quality work; think high frame rate, thoughtful interaction design, delightful experiences.

You are comfortable building proof-of-concept prototypes to evaluate design directions and iterate quickly.

You can communicate nuanced technical work clearly.

You are comfortable writing and maintaining technical documentation as well as onboarding and mentoring co-workers.
Can be an advantage if

You are familiar or have experience with TypeScript.

You are familiar or have experience with GraphQL.

You are familiar with back end systems and relational databases.

You have experience maintaining design component systems.

You have experience using design tools like Figma or Sketch or prototyping ones like Framer or Origami.
