We're a research-driven technology investment firm based in San Francisco, co-founded in 2018 by Matt Huang (former Partner at Sequoia Capital) and Fred Ehrsam (co-founder of Coinbase). We support frontier-native founders through research and investment, while building products alongside them. Our small, elite team has built a library of open-source projects for crypto builders, experimented with novel experiences powered by AI, and rescued millions from smart contract vulnerabilities.

To support our internal operations, we're building a world-class product for internal collaboration & portfolio management -- The "shared brain" of the firm. To support our portfolio, we advise & consult hands-on thru design, market development, talent, legal, and more.

The breadth of work keeps things exciting, as priorities vary from week to week.

Some days, we’re working hand-in-hand with a portfolio founder, helping craft their narrative & design their first website or zero-to-one product. For more mature teams, we help elevate & grow the design teams: Evaluating design candidates or connecting lead designers with shared challenges to one another.

Other days, we focus our efforts internally: Designing an end-to-end commenting system for real-time collaboration for our internal tool, or data visualizations for viewing portfolio performance -- To empower our internal teams to connect the dots and stay in sync.
