About the role

At Mirror, our mission is to leverage web3 technology to revolutionize the way people publish, consume, and share content online, particularly NFTs. We are a small and dedicated team with extensive experience in the web3 space, committed to creating world-class products that blend elegance and usability while prioritizing user sovereignty and decentralization.

In order to expand our capabilities, we are looking to hire an experienced Product Designer. This role includes both a leadership component (across product and company) and IC design work (shipping pixels).

Responsibilities

• Design distinct, thoughtful user interfaces and experiences across the full product

• Collaborate with engineering and product to research, design and ship products

• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups

• Partner with company leadership to help shape our products and company culture

• Take responsibility for design work across the product

• Work closely with other designers to offer feedback and mentorship

• Maintain and contribute to our design system

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Product Designer on consumer-facing applications

• Excellent visual design skills, with a deep understanding of typography, design principles, and aesthetics

• Expertise in Figma

• Comfortable with all aspects of design process including product positioning, user research, wireframing, low + high-fidelity design, and prototyping

• Proficiency in systems thinking and information architecture

• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)

• Experience successfully managing multiple projects at the same time

• Comfortable working on complex problems in emerging technology

• Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment

• Experience mentoring and inspiring a team of designers

• A strong desire to design within the context of web3

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ethereum and web3, and the nuances of foundational crypto concepts including wallets, tokens, smart contracts and trustless transactions

• Previous leadership skills (managing or leading multiple designers across larger projects)

• Motion design and animation experience

• Front-end coding knowledgee
