Introduce us to your team
Logic + Rhythm is a technology studio formed out of years working for big tech companies. Think of us like your digital product team for hire. We help companies get their ideas off the ground by designing, prototyping, and building great software together.
We're a team of designers and engineers spread across seven different countries who are really good at building applications. We’ve spent years working in-house at some of the world’s leading tech companies. We took all the good stuff we learned with us and left the bad stuff behind. Working with us should feel the same as having hired an internal design team. We work through the hard stuff together and in the end, create something great that delivers lasting value for your company.
How does your team conduct critique?
We conduct a weekly jam session for folks to share what they're working on, get feedback, and try out different approaches to problems. This is a chance for everyone to help uplevel each other, while also staying up-to-date on what's the latest on our various projects.
We also have a channel in Slack called #design-drops where we share WIP Looms to get async feedback. As our team is spread out over 9 time zones, working async is a bit part of our culture. And finally, as with most things internally, all of our Figmas are open by default so anyone can hop in and drop feedback for others.
What design tools do you use day to day?
As with most designers, Figma has become our main tool and where most of our projects begin. Each person at the studio has helped refine our process and made spinning up new projects easy and expansive. We're constantly sharing better ways to do things, cool plug-ins we've found, etc. When needed, we also love moving into Framer, Origami, or Code to produce high-fidelity prototypes.
Beyond design, we're big users of both Zoom and Loom. We like to hop on Zooms and jam on stuff together, and Loom lets us keep our teammates and clients up-to-date when async makes more sense.
Finally, we use Notion as our company OS: tracking projects, feedback, scheduling, etc.
What type of music does your team listen to?
People post what they're listening to in our general channel on a daily basis. We actually share so much music internally that we create monthly Spotify Playlists.
At our last weekly happy hour, one of our team members shared this solid Boiler Room set from David August.
But, the spectrum of genres is wide
How does your team manage meetings?
By keeping them at a minimum.
Having worked at big tech companies in the past, we've seen how much time gets wasted on pointless meetings. We keep ours to a minimum so that we can spend our time building the thing, instead of talking about building the thing.
How do we contact you?
We'd love to hear from you at email@example.com, or firstname.lastname@example.org if you just wanna say hi! :)
We also share cool finds and company updates on our Twitter account, @logicandrhythm.
